Hijiki is a sort of seaweeds .High in iron and calcium and low calories.Fu is made out of gluten comes from strong flour so perhaps it may not be good for people doing gluten free diet but it's one of essencial protein sources for macrobiotic people and also my granny and auntie were always cooking something with it.I cooked these 2 ingredients together with soy sauce ,fish stock and some agave syrup and sesami seeds.I love to eat this dish with some steamed brown rice and their nutrition is almost perfect according to macrobiotic's idea. I'm using some fish stock to give depth to the flavor so I'm breaking the rule in terms of macrobiotic method actually but my point is to enjoy and being healthy so who cares!!
